Welcome to our practice! We are honored that you have chosen us for your dental needs. We have been voted as a Top Dentist in Pittsburgh for over ten years and with the changing health climate amidst the COVID19 pandemic, we continue to provide safe and excellent care. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.
Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office and your temperature will be taken. We also want to assure you all of our team members will be screened daily when reporting to work.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and coffee service, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You also may notice that Dr. Greg and all of our team members look different. They will be using additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as goggles, face masks, face shields and gowns. In addition, our office has individual treatment suites so you will never receive any dental treatment in an open space with other patients. After treatment ends, any additional appointments will be made in the dental suite to expedite your check out process.
At the end of your appointment, the front desk will provide you with a receipt from behind installed protective barriers.

We wanted to provide our valued patients with an update on the reopening of dental practices in Western Pennsylvania. At this time, following directive from Governor Wolf and the PA Department of Health, dental offices in Pennsylvania are not able to open for routine dental care. We are hopeful that we will get more information on a timeframe over the next week or so.
In the meantime, we are still open for dental emergencies, so if you have any dental questions or issues, please call 724.228.3142 and we will respond ASAP. We are also keeping a detailed list of all missed appointments and as soon as we know when we can safely reopen, we will call all of you to get rescheduled.

The COVID19 pandemic and its impact on our daily lives is rapidly evolving. These changes are also affecting how we currently treat dental patients and emergencies.
Associates in Dentistry recognizes the unprecedented and extraordinary circumstances dentists and their patients face during this pandemic. We will continue to serve our patients with emergency needs to help prevent overwhelming hospital emergency departments over the next few weeks.
Under these circumstances, while essential dental emergency services will continue to be performed, we recognize that patients would be best served when telecommunication technology (FaceTime) can be leveraged to support dental care.
If you have a dental emergency or even a question, please call 724.228.3142 and your call will be routed to Dr. Greg. He will respond immediately via video conferencing to determine what is the safest course of action. We consider all of our patients family and want to relieve any dental issues or stress that you may have during this unprecedented time.

Everyone at Associates in Dentistry is committed to doing our part to protect the health and safety of our staff and patients during this unpredictable and unprecedented time. Although it has not been mandated by the PA Department of Health, the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association have recommended that dental offices remain open for emergencies and reschedule all non-essential appointments.
With this recommendation, we have decided to postpone all hygiene and non-essential dental procedures until April 1, 2020. However, we will be open and available to assist you for any emergency dental care that you may need. Please call 724.228.3142 and our office will respond to all emergency calls ASAP.
Until April 1, all routine hygiene appointments will be rescheduled. We will be evaluating and contacting each scheduled dental appointment over the next few days to determine the status of their appointment. As a follow-up to our original message, we have taken the following additional measures to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our patients and staff based on the most current recommendations from Centers for Disease Control (CDC):
We are closely following the CDC guidelines on a daily basis and other sources of recommendation on the steps to take to prevent the spread of COVID19. We will continue to remain open until we are advised otherwise by the PA Department of Health or other governmental agency. We understand there is a lot of uncertainty during these unprecedented times and that communication is very important. We will continue to provide updates to our patients as information becomes available. As always, we are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
We understand our patients and visitors may be anxious about the news of coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Please know that the precautions and rigorous infection-prevention protocols we already take every day to prevent the spread of infection in our practice, also helps prevent COVID-19.
This includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, protective eyewear and gowns provide superior protection for our staff and patients. Our use of disinfectants, up–to-date sterilization practices, dedicated hand washing, and one time use disposable materials also help facilitate safe dental visits for our patients. Non-disposable items such as certain dental tools are cleaned and sterilized in between patients. In addition, we are providing hand sanitizer to all patients, as well as routinely disinfecting all common areas, including the waiting room, reception area and bathroom.
Although we have these infection control precautions and procedures in place, please follow the following guidelines when making or confirming your dental appointment:
**If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, you should reschedule your appointment.
**If you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea) or you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed or who was quarantined as a precaution, wait 14 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught COVID-19.
**If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your scheduled dental appointment.
